Praise God From Whom all Blessings Flow! He is the Alpha and the Omega! The Beginning and the End! He Reign in all His Majesty! For He has Done Great Things! Magnify Him and Lift the Savior up! Jesus Christ the Deliverer and Redeemer of the World! As people of God it's vital that we experience and know God in a greater way. To know Him and be able to recognize Him through the attributes of His name. When you know Him by the attributes of His name you will be able to experience His power and His presence in a greater way.
Do you know Him as Jehovah Jireh, our provider. A illustration of God being a provider is seen in Genesis 22:11&12 with Abraham. The scripture states the Angel of the Lord called out his name, "Abraham, Abraham!" So he said, "here am I." And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him, for I now , for I know that you fear God since you have not withheld your son, your only son from me." "Does God know that about you?" That you trust Him? That you whole heartily rely on Him? vs. 14, states, " Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked. And there behind him was a ram caught in the thicket by his horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son." This was a foreshadow of what was to come. God offering up His only Son for you and I.
Abraham was walking in faith believing and trusting God with his entire being. He was going to offer up his son showing God just how much he trusted and believed in His every command and word. Just as Abraham we're to offer up our lives as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is our reasonable service according to Romans 12:1. This should be our reaction because He is God. He is all powerful and all knowing and seeing wise God. Words can never express how good God is.
He sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for you and I. Scripture declares in Ephesians 4:9, " (Now this, "He ascended" - what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? In other words He descended and conquered death so we could live through eternity with Him. God is El Shaddai, which depicts that nothing is to hard for God. He is Almighty God the master and creator of the universe. He is "Yaweh," The Self Existent One. He spoke and the world came into existence. In Exodus 3:14. He told Moses to tell the Israelites that the God of their fathers sent him. God told him that His name is, "I AM WHO I AM," In other words I Am has everything that you need. Whatever you need call on Him because He is the, "Great I Am."
I encourage you to get to know Him as well as what His name represent and mean personally in your life. The Bible iterates that He is:
Jehovah Rapha- "The Lord Heals," Do you know Him or have experienced Him as your healer. He is the healer of your mind ,body and soul. Isaiah 61: 1, declares that God has sent Jesus to heal the brokenhearted. Those who are distressed and bound by the trials of life. God will set you free. Jesus said, "By His strips your are healed," according to Isaiah 53:5. Receive your healing in your spirit today!
Jehovah Shalom- "Your Peace," He is the Prince of peace. Scripture reads in Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep him in perfect peace Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trust in You." Notice in the text that the, "Y," in You is a capitol letter. Which literally means that God will keep us in peace when our focus is Him. Because He is our peace. Continuing with His names
Jehovah Sabaoth,"- "He is the Lord of Host,"
Jehovah Shammah,"- Which means the Lord is there." In other words the Lord is the present help in a time of trouble. Receive the Word of the Lord Today and Allow His word to come alive in your life whereby you experience what His names represent in a greater way!
